This Privacy Policy explains how the Orthodox Calendar mobile application („the App”) handles information. The App is provided by Ortodox Way („we”, „us”). We have designed the App to respect your privacy: it works without an account, and it does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information about you to us.

Information We Do Not Collect
The App does not ask for your name, email address, location, contacts, or any other personal information. We have no servers that receive data about you, and we have no way to identify you.
Data Stored on Your Device
Your preferences — such as language, calendar style (new or old calendar), theme, and notification settings — are stored locally on your device only. This information never leaves your device and is not accessible to us. If you uninstall the App, this information is removed.
Notifications
If you enable notifications („Saints of the Day” and/or „Tomorrow’s Saints”), they are scheduled and shown locally by your device. We do not send push notifications from any server, and notifications do not involve transmitting any information about you.
Content Loaded from the Internet
To show certain content, the App requests information from third-party sources over the internet:
- Articles are loaded from our website, ortodoxway.com.
- Daily Scripture readings are loaded from orthocal.info.
- For Romanian readings on the new calendar, a „Read the text” button may open doxologia.ro in an in-app browser.
When the App requests this content, the request necessarily includes technical information that is part of any internet connection (such as your device’s IP address), which those third parties may process according to their own privacy policies. The App itself does not attach any personal information to these requests, and we do not receive any data about you through them. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of those third-party services.
Children’s Privacy
The App is suitable for a general audience and does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
